Abstrak

This research investigates how fishermen work to discover the local wisdom of the Malay tribe and what tools Malay fishermen use to catch fish in the Medang Tikus area. The aim of this research is to preserve local knowledge about natural resource management amidst the onslaught of technological advances, economic pressures and current advances in other fields, and to ensure that anyone who knows about it can invite the community to talk about it Identify local wisdom that exists in Medan Deras Village. This research method is qualitative with an ethnographic method. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. used in this research, survey results reveal that various local wisdom regarding fishing still exists and is actively utilized in the lives of the fishing community.
